Glad Bin Laden is dead, it pissed me off that people said it was an attack by Muslims. Though I was baptized Christian, having a Muslim name and half my family being Muslim, I’ve seen the worst side of racist Americans directly. I was glad the president pointed out that it was not a war on Islam and that Bin Laden was not a Muslim and hurt even Muslims. For a while, my sisters couldn’t leave the house after 9-11 because people were threatening our lives on the streets! It was really bad. I’ve had moving vehicles throw shit at me, people cuss and spit at me on the streets. It was bad. I even have friends who go off and go “Fuck Muslims, damn terrorist, every Muslim in the world should be killed!” Just makes me sad that people can be so ignorant. I tell ya, I could not be happier that the president said what he said. Like the whole issue with the Muslim Community Center by Ground Zero…. omfg, that was ridiculous! It truly showed how ignorant SOME Americans can be, that they would hate on Muslims so much. So yeah… very happy with the president. I doubt most people realize that Pakistan is primarily Islamic. For a primarily Islamic country to aid the US in capturing Bin Laden… that really says a lot. I wonder if most people will realize that fact?

I hope there isn’t any serious backlash from this now though. That’s my main concern right now. Let’s hope the soldiers are safe, lets hope Americans in other countries are safe, lets hope we’re safe at home. I’m sure the government is doing their best to make sure we are, but a lil prayer in support is always good. ;)
